Summary

CVE-2024-1058 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin used in WordPress sites. This issue exists due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin, which allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into onClick parameters. Consequently, these scripts will execute whenever an affected user accesses an injected page. The release of version 1.58.3 offers a partial fix, but it's essential to apply the patch or update to the latest version to mitigate the risk effectively.
