Summary

CVE-2024-1055 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the PowerPack Addons for Elementor plugin used in WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's buttons, which do not adequately sanitize or escape user-supplied URL values. Malicious actors with contributor-level access and above can exploit this flaw, injecting arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, potentially stealing sensitive information, altering content, or launching further attacks. All versions of the plugin up to and including 2.7.14 are susceptible to this issue.
