Summary

CVE-2024-0898 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Chat Bubble plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.3, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in admin settings. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute when users access injected pages. Notably, this vulnerability only impacts multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
