Summary

CVE-2024-0895 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the PDF Flipbook and 3D Flipbook plugins for WordPress, specifically the DearFlip plugin, up to version 2.2.26. The issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied data within the outline settings. This weakness allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unintended functionalities, data theft, or even website takeover.
