Summary

CVE-2024-0871 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Beaver Builder plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in all versions up to 2.7.4.2, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses a page with the injected data. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the Icon Widget's 'fl_builder_data[node_preview][link]' and 'fl_builder_data[settings][link_target]' parameters.
