Summary

CVE-2024-0823 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Exclusive Addons for Elementor plugin used in WordPress websites. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.6.8, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in carousel links. Successful exploitation results in the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever an injected page is accessed.
