Summary

CVE-2024-0792 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Shortcodes Plugin - Shortcodes Ultimate for WordPress. The flaw, present in all versions up to 7.0.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into RSS feed content. Due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, these malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant security risk and requires immediate patching to prevent potential attacks.
