Summary

CVE-2024-0790 is a vulnerability affecting the WOLF – WordPress Posts Bulk Editor and Manager Professional plugin. Versions up to and including 1.0.8.1 are impacted. This issue stems from insufficient nonce validation on certain functions, including wpbe_create_new_term, wpbe_update_tax_term, and wpbe_delete_tax_term. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can manipulate taxonomy terms through Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks, provided they can coerce an administrator into executing a malicious link. Moreover, the vulnerability extends to the functions wpbe_save_options, wpbe_bulk_delete_posts_count, wpbe_bulk_delete_posts, and wpbe_save_meta, enabling attackers to update plugin options, delete post counts, delete posts, and modify post metadata via forged requests.
