Summary

CVE-2024-0688 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WebSub plugin, formerly known as PubSubHubbub, for WordPress. Affecting versions up to and including 3.1.4, this issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in plugin settings. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
