Summary
CVE-2024-0679 is a vulnerability affecting the ColorMag theme for WordPress. The issue stems from a missing capability check on the plugin_action_callback() function, which is present in all versions of the theme up to 3.1.2. This flaw grants authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, the ability to install and activate arbitrary plugins, thereby posing a significant security risk to WordPress sites using this theme.
