Summary

CVE-2024-0621 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Simple Share Buttons Adder plugin for WordPress. Affecting versions up to and including 8.4.11, this issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts into pages. This flaw poses a risk only in multi-site installations and where unfiltered_html has been explicitly disabled.
