Summary

CVE-2024-0591: A critical Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affects the wpDataTables plugin for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 3.4.2.2, stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping for the 'A' parameter. Malicious actors can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts, which can be executed when unsuspecting users click on a specially crafted link. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, potentially enabling attackers to steal sensitive data or gain administrative control over vulnerable WordPress installations.
