Summary

CVE-2024-0590 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Microsoft Clarity plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 0.9.3 are susceptible to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack. The issue lies in the lack of nonce validation on the edit_clarity_project_id() function, which enables attackers to manipulate the project id and inject malicious JavaScript. Unauthenticated assailants can exploit this vulnerability by inducing a site administrator to execute a malicious link, leading to potential security breaches and unintended functional changes.
