Summary

CVE-2024-0587 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the AMP for WP plugin for WordPress, version 1.0.92.1 and below. The 'disqus_name' parameter in this plugin does not undergo sufficient sanitization and output escaping on the executed JavaScript file. Attackers can exploit this weakness by injecting arbitrary web scripts. Successful exploitation requires tricking a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a malicious link. Unauthenticated attackers can take advantage of this vulnerability to launch potentially harmful scripts on pages viewed by unsuspecting users.
