Summary

CVE-2024-0400 is a recently disclosed vulnerability affecting SCM Software, a client-server application used for customized filtering. An authenticated system manager client holds the capability to execute LINQ queries on the SCM server. However, an attacker can exploit this feature by sending specially crafted code to bypass validation, leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE) on the SCM server. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as malicious clients can execute any command on the server, potentially resulting in data theft or system compromise.
