Summary

CVE-2024-0385 is a vulnerability affecting the Categorify plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to bypass capability checks, enabling them to unauthorizedly add categories through the ajaxAddCategory function in all plugin versions up to and including 1.0.7.4. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to websites using the Categorify plugin, as it can be exploited to modify data and potentially disrupt the site's functionality. WordPress users are strongly encouraged to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
