Summary

CVE-2024-0379 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability affecting the Custom Twitter Feeds plugin, versions up to 2.2.1, for WordPress. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this issue by tricking site administrators into clicking on a malicious link, resulting in the attacker's ability to update the site's Twitter API token and secret. This vulnerability arises due to the lack of proper nonce validation in the ctf_auto_save_tokens function, allowing for unauthorized API key modifications. Site administrators are strongly advised to update to the latest version of the plugin or consider disabling it as a temporary measure to mitigate this risk.
