Summary
CVE-2024-0338 is a newly disclosed buffer overflow vulnerability that affects XAMPP versions 8.2.4 and older. Malicious actors can exploit this weakness by sending a specially crafted debug argument to overload the Structured Exception Handler (SEH) buffer. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code, potentially leading to system compromise.
