Summary

CVE-2024-0241 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting encoded_id-rails versions prior to 1.0.0.beta2. This issue allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service condition by sending an HTTP request with an extraordinarily long "id" parameter. The vulnerability results in uncontrolled resource consumption within the affected system. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to significant performance degradation or even server crashes, impacting the availability of the targeted application.
