Summary
CVE-2023-7071 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Essential Blocks plugin for WordPress, specifically its Table of Contents block. This issue, present in versions up to 4.4.6, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the plugin.
