Summary

CVE-2023-6982 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Display custom fields in the frontend plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.2.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcode and postmeta, leading to the execution of these scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
