Summary

CVE-2023-6924 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Photo Gallery plugin by 10Web for WordPress. The flaw, present in versions up to 1.8.18, stems from insufficient sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in widgets. Consequently, authenticated attackers with administrator-level access or even contributors, when using a page builder plugin, can inject malicious web scripts that will execute whenever a user visits an injected page. The vulnerability poses a significant security risk and requires urgent patching.
