Summary

CVE-2023-6901 is a critical vulnerability affecting the HTTP POST Request Handler component of codelyfe Stupid Simple CMS versions up to 1.2.3. An attacker can exploit this issue by manipulating the argument command in the /terminal/handle-command.php file with the input "whoami". This vulnerability allows for os command injection, enabling remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the affected system. The exploit for this vulnerability (VDB-248259) has been made public, increasing the risk of attacks. Users are strongly urged to update their CMS to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
