Summary
CVE-2023-6880 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Visual Composer plugins for WordPress. The issue lies in the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's custom fields. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts, which will execute whenever a user visits an injected page. The vulnerable plugins include the Website Builder, Landing Page Builder, Custom Theme Builder, Maintenance Mode & Coming Soon Pages, and all versions up to and including 45.6.0 are impacted.
