Details
Summary
CVE-2023-6782 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 1.0.92, arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's shortcodes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts. As a result, these scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unintended and malicious actions.
