Summary

CVE-2023-6699 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the WP Compress – Image Optimizer [All-In-One] plugin for WordPress. The issue, which exists in all versions up to 6.10.33, allows unauthenticated attackers to perform Directory Traversal attacks via the css parameter. Successful exploitation grants attackers the ability to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, potentially accessing sensitive information. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and necessitates immediate patching for all WordPress installations utilizing the WP Compress plugin.
