Summary

CVE-2023-6583 is a directory traversal vulnerability affecting the Import and export users and customers plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in versions up to and including 1.24.2, can be exploited through the Recurring Import functionality by authenticated attackers with administrator access or higher. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to read and delete arbitrary files, including the wp-config.php file, which may contain sensitive information. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress installations and should be addressed promptly by updating to the latest version of the plugin.
