Summary

CVE-2023-6527 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Email Subscription Popup plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.2.18 are impacted by this issue. The flaw stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin, enabling unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via the HTTP_REFERER header. Successful exploitation requires users to perform certain actions, such as clicking on a malicious link.
