CVE-2023-6485 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Html5 Video Player WordPress plugin before version 2.5.19. The issue stems from insufficient sanitization and escaping of certain player settings, which can be exploited by authenticated users, including subscribers, to inject malicious scripts. These scripts can subsequently be executed by high-privilege users, such as administrators, leading to potential security breaches.
