Summary

CVE-2023-6477: A privilege escalation vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE). This issue affects multiple versions of GitLab EE, including those before 16.7.6, 16.8.3, and 16.9.1. When a user is assigned a custom role with the admin_group_member permission, they may gain the ability to make themselves or other group members Owners. This could result in unintended privilege escalation within affected GitLab EE installations.
