Summary

CVE-2023-6434 is a newly identified cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the BigProf Online Invoicing System 2.6. The issue stems from insufficient input encoding, leading to persistent XSS in the /inventory/sections_view.php file. The FirstRecord parameter is the susceptible element. An attacker can exploit this weakness to inject and execute malicious JavaScript code, which is executed whenever the page is loaded. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access or data theft. Users are strongly urged to update their software as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
