Summary

CVE-2023-6430 is a newly discovered cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting BigProf Online Invoicing System version 2.6. The issue stems from insufficient input encoding in the application, particularly in the /inventory/transactions_view.php file. This vulnerability enables an attacking user to inject malicious JavaScript code into the FirstRecord parameter, which is then executed when the page loads. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in the execution of harmful scripts, compromising the security of the system and potentially leading to data theft or other unintended consequences.
