Summary
CVE-2023-6428 is a newly discovered cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting BigProf Online Invoicing System version 2.6. The issue stems from insufficient input encoding, which enables an attacking user to inject malicious scripts into the FirstRecord parameter of the /invoicing/app/items_view.php page. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows the attacker to inject and execute dangerous JavaScript payloads, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft when the page is loaded.
