Summary

CVE-2023-6272 is a vulnerability affecting the Theme My Login 2FA plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the lack of rate limiting for 2FA validation attempts, making it susceptible to brute-force attacks. An attacker can repeatedly try all possible 6-digit codes until they gain access, posing a significant security risk. Before version 1.2, this plugin failed to implement adequate protection against such attacks.
