Summary
CVE-2023-6253 is a vulnerability affecting Digital Guardian's Agent before version 7.9.4. This issue permits a local attacker to retrieve the uninstall key from the Uninstaller's saved encryption key. By extracting the key from the uninstaller file's memory, the attacker can remove the software, posing a threat to the security of the affected system. The vulnerability could lead to unauthorized software removal and potential data exposure or system compromise. Digital Guardian strongly recommends updating to version 7.9.4 or later to mitigate this risk.
