Summary

CVE-2023-6244 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the EventON - WordPress Virtual Event Calendar Plugin. Versions up to and including 4.5.4 (Pro) and 2.2.8 (Free) are impacted by this issue. The root cause is the lack of proper nonce validation in the save_virtual_event_settings function, which exposes virtual event settings to modification through forged requests. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a site administrator into performing a malicious action, such as clicking a link, and gain unauthorized access to modify events.
