Summary

CVE-2023-6229 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the CPCA PDL Resource Download process of select Office Multifunction Printers and Laser Printers from Satera, Canon, and i-SENSYS. This issue, present in firmware versions 03.07 and earlier, can be exploited by an attacker on a network segment to cause the affected devices to become unresponsive or execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability impacts the Satera LBP670C Series, Satera MF750C Series, Color imageCLASS LBP674C, Color imageCLASS X LBP1333C, Color imageCLASS MF750C Series, Color imageCLASS X MF1333C Series, i-SENSYS LBP673Cdw, C1333P, and i-SENSYS MF750C Series, as well as the C1333i Series. The vulnerability was discovered in devices sold in Japan, the US, and Europe.
