Summary

CVE-2023-6208 is a vulnerability affecting Firefox and Thunderbird browsers when using the X11 system. The bug causes text selected by a page using the Selection API to be mistakenly copied into the primary selection, which is a temporary storage similar to a clipboard. This issue only impacts Firefox versions below 120, Firefox ESR below 115.5.0, and Thunderbird below 115.5. Exploitation of this vulnerability could potentially lead to unintended actions, such as command injection or data theft, on X11-based systems.
