Summary

CVE-2023-6157 is a vulnerability affecting versions of Checkmk below 2.0.0p40, 2.1.0p38, and 2.2.0p16. The issue lies in the improper handling of command delimiters in the ajax_search function. Authorized users can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary livestatus commands, potentially leading to unintended system configurations, data exposure, or other unauthorized actions. In essence, this security flaw enables attackers to manipulate Checkmk's monitoring system by executing unauthorized livestatus commands.
