Summary

CVE-2023-6142 is a vulnerability affecting the Dev blog v1.0 software. This issue permits an attacker to execute Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks by exploiting an unrestricted file upload feature. The vulnerability is further compounded by insufficient filename entropy checks, allowing an attacker to guess the filename of the uploaded malicious HTML file and deliver it to potential victims. This security flaw poses a significant risk, as successful exploitation can lead to unintended code execution within the context of a victim's web browser.
