Summary
CVE-2023-6061 is a vulnerability affecting multiple components of Iconics SCADA Suite. The issue lies in the applications' improper handling of dynamic link libraries (DLLs), which can lead to Phantom DLL loading. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by deploying a malicious DLL with a matching name in an accessible search path, thereby potentially executing malicious code. The impacted components include MMXFax.exe and winfax.dll, as well as MelSim2ComProc.exe, Sim2ComProc.dll, MMXCall_in.exe, libdxxmt.dll, and libsrlmt.dll.
