Summary

CVE-2023-6037 is a vulnerability affecting the WP TripAdvisor Review Slider WordPress plugin before version 11.9. This issue allows high privilege users, such as admins, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks despite the unfiltered_html capability being disabled. The plugin fails to sanitize and escape certain settings, making it possible for attackers to inject malicious scripts into the website, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activity. In a multisite setup, the vulnerability can pose a significant threat to multiple websites.
