Summary

CVE-2023-6005 is a vulnerability affecting both the EventON WordPress plugin before version 4.5.5 and the EventON WordPress plugin before version 2.2.7. Despite the unfiltered_html capability being disallowed in some configurations, these versions fail to sanitize and escape certain settings. This oversight creates an opportunity for high privilege users, such as admins, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. The consequences of such an attack could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or website defacement. Users are advised to update their EventON plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
