Summary
CVE-2023-5996 is a high severity vulnerability affecting Google Chrome versions prior to 119.0.6045.123. This issue involves a use-after-free condition in the WebAudio module, which can lead to heap corruption. A remote attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious HTML page, taking advantage of the WebAudio functionality in Chrome. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution or denial of service. Users are strongly urged to update their browser to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
