Summary

CVE-2023-5964 is a vulnerability affecting the 1E-Exchange-DisplayMessage instruction in the End-User Interaction product pack for Windows clients. The vulnerability stems from a failure to properly validate the Caption and Message parameters, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM permissions through a specially crafted input. To mitigate this issue, the vulnerable instruction should be deleted and replaced with the new 1E-Exchange-ShowNotification instruction, available in the updated End-User Interaction product pack with a version of 7.1 or above.
