Summary

CVE-2023-5901 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the pkp-lib GitHub repository before version 3.3.0-16. An attacker could exploit this weakness by injecting malicious scripts into a webpage, potentially stealing user data or taking control of their session. Successful exploitation requires the victim to view a specially crafted webpage, making email phishing or social engineering attacks a common delivery method.
