Summary

CVE-2023-5820 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Thumbnail Slider With Lightbox plugin for WordPress in version 1.0. The issue stems from improper nonce validation on the "addedit" functionality, which enables unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary file uploads. To exploit this, adversaries must manipulate administrators into performing specific actions, such as clicking on malicious links, enabling the attackers to issue forged requests and upload files at will.
