Summary

CVE-2023-5815 is a Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability affecting the News & Blog Designer Pack plugin for WordPress, specifically versions up to and including 3.4.1. The flaw lies within the bdp_get_more_post function, which uses an unsafe extract() method to extract values from the POST variable. This input is then passed to the include() function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to include arbitrary PHP files. In Docker configurations, an attacker could potentially create a PHP file and subsequently include it, resulting in successful RCE.
