Summary

CVE-2023-5776 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Post Meta Data Manager plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.2.1 are impacted. The issue arises from the lack of nonce validation on the pmdm_wp_ajax_delete_meta, pmdm_wp_delete_user_meta, and pmdm_wp_delete_user_meta functions. This weakness enables unauthenticated attackers to manipulate user, term, and post meta data by deceiving site administrators into executing malicious actions, such as clicking on a malicious link.
