Summary

CVE-2023-5770 is a vulnerability affecting Proofpoint Enterprise Protection's email delivery agent. It allows unauthenticated attackers to inject maliciously encoded HTML into the email body through the email subject. The issue arises due to inappropriate encoding when the email is being rewritten before delivery. This vulnerability affects Proofpoint Enterprise Protection versions from 8.20.2 before patch 4809, 8.20.0 before patch 4805, 8.18.6 before patch 4804, and all other prior versions.
